Winter Scavenger Hunt for Kids – English & Spanish

Winter Scavenger Hunt for Kids – English & Spanish

Free bilingual winter scavenger hunt for children

Winter has almost arrived! Here in Minnesota, winter brings snow, ice, and delighted children outside enjoying the season despite the weather! Building snow forts, ice skating, or sledding – there’s fun to be had even when the temperatures drop.

Since moving north to Minnesota several years ago, we’ve noticed that many Minnesotans truly embrace the long winter season. There’s still so much to do to stay active and enjoy the outdoors here!

And while some of us like to sip hot chocolate by the fire when it gets cold (me!), I’ve been amazed at all the fun winter activities we’ve discovered. From backyard hockey or ice skating to snow shoeing in our local parks, we’ve realized it’s important to continue our outdoor activities.

Does your child enjoy winter activities outdoors? As you and your child get out and about to embrace the winter season, I’ll help you incorporate some fun Spanish or English vocabulary learning along the way!

Take your winter scavenger hunt with you this season as you go outside on a nature hike, go snow shoeing, go ice skating, or head out to sled together. Or have your child cross off the scavenger hunt items in the car on a snowy drive through town or on a visit to friends or family.

To use the scavenger hunt inside, place the printable on your fridge to practice the words, or use them for some seasonal writing practice! See if your child can use the words in a winter story. Get the list out to look for the words as you read winter children’s books. Or use play dough to create the items on the list and talk about even more Spanish winter vocabulary.

Most importantly, use the colorful printable to make language learning FUN and meaningful!
